About Johnathan Brownlee's atHome
Your host, Johnathan Brownlee
As you may know, most actors don't make a living out of their performing talents alone. Vancouver's Johnathan Brownlee is an actor who decided to do more than waiting tables - he became a home renovator.
Born in Indiana and raised in Toronto, Johnathan got his undergraduate degree BFA in performance/directing, communications and music. As part of the program, he learned carpentry and electricity and earned his college spending money as a theatre scenic carpenter.
In New York, Johnathan worked on and off Broadway and at the Metropolitan Opera, but realized that as much as he loved theatre, and loved doing classical plays, he also wanted to eat!
So he headed to the showbiz Mecca, Los Angeles, where he appeared on Seinfeld and the Larry Sanders Show, and to keep the bucks rolling in, did home renovations. He also appeared in the television movie for MTV - 2Gether and guest starred on the comedy, Cold Feet.
He appeared in the Angelina Jolie film, My Life Or Something Like It and Stealing Sinatra with William H. Macy and David Arquette. atHome is a compilation of his many loves - renovating houses, being on camera and performing.
